I am scared of dying

I do not want to die

Life is much too fabulous to stop living

Whose great idea was it anyway, for life to be merely transient?

While the body rots in a lonesome spot for eternity to forget

I do not want to end like that

I am a creature of this earth

And I choose to keep existing here

I don’t want to be bound in a casket and laid in a dreary grave

I want to stand in the sun and sprout new life

I want to celebrate the free spirit which has come to define me

I am too fabulous to be enslaved to an innocuous spot

Do not bury me when I die
